I was thrilled to hear the hopes fulfilled for Penny Hawkes. I was entered (at muse@comcast.net now I have new e-mail) My favorite was Habersham. Not only was it the most beautiful home ,the location was the reason I tried Habersham.It is closest to my daughter who is in the Navy stationed nearby. Her husband is a marine,so there is little precious time to spend with their autistic son. Trying to win a home nearby gave me hope. Thank you.

I was so dissapointed to see someone who seemed to be wealthy win this house. The way she was talking it is just going to be a vacation home for her. Oh well, that's the way it usually goes. I'm gonna keep dreaming, maybe someday I'll have a beautiful house like that.......

I think they should have given away ALL the homes!!! Why bother to make a choice, if there is only one winner let them win and select the house they want! I have been to NC and saw the SL home built there! What a home!!!

Congratulations to Penny and her family. How wonderful that she gets the opportunity to return home through this win.
I know how it feels to walk through a dream come true (after we so gratefully won the 2008 WindMark Beach Idea House last year).
We elected to keep our home as a vacation rental until my husband retires from the Air Force. It has been a joy to share the home with so many others over the past Spring and Summer.

I wonder if Penny will be offering her new home as a vacation rental as well. I would definitely be interested in planning a family holiday there, and I would guess other Southern Living and MyHomeIdeas.com readers would enjoy that as well!

as you know times are tough, we have no work where we live in central fl. we have been thinking of moveing in with my mother down south because there is work,and given the chance to live green would be great!!!! Not to mention a beautiful home wow what a way to start over!!! my children and I thank you so much for this chance to see if dreams could come true, if not for us, but a deserving family! thank you again,everyone in our prayers!!!!
